Every aircraft transformation begins with potential. It is complete when every detail, from the exterior finish to the cabin stitching and cockpit technology, comes together as one cohesive aircraft.
That moment has arrived for the SOLJETS Edition Citation Mustang N448SJ.
What began as an off-market acquisition opportunity has become a fully transformed 2014 Cessna Citation Mustang designed to stand apart in today's light jet market. Following an extensive process that included its return to the United States, a custom repaint, complete interior refurbishment, avionics modernization, maintenance and final detailing, N448SJ is finished and ready for its next chapter.
As we shared in our first look inside the transformation process, SOLJETS had previous history with this aircraft after assisting with its sale and export from the United States in 2016.
When the aircraft returned to the market, we recognized the opportunity to acquire a Citation Mustang with the pedigree, remaining life and underlying condition needed to support a thoughtful transformation.
Following acquisition, the aircraft was imported, registered as N448SJ, and carefully evaluated across its exterior, interior, avionics, and mechanical systems. Rather than simply updating individual components, every decision was made as part of one cohesive vision.
The goal was to create one of the most desirable pre owned Citation Mustangs on the market, one that looked modern, felt elevated, and offered the technology and ownership advantages expected by today's buyers.
The transformation is immediately apparent from the moment the aircraft comes into view.
AeroSmith Aviation completed a full custom repaint featuring an overall white finish with Smoke Gray and Sable Black details. Layered striping flows along the fuselage, creating movement while preserving a clean, timeless profile.
Careful spacing between the contrasting bands adds depth without making the design feel overly complicated. The styling continues through the tail and registration number, giving N448SJ a distinctive identity from every angle.
The finished exterior feels contemporary and confident while remaining true to the Citation Mustang's compact, recognizable silhouette.

The interior represents one of the most detailed portions of the project.
During Phase 3 of the transformation, the cabin was fully disassembled so that panels, seating components, cabinetry, trim pieces and smaller details could be individually refinished before being carefully reinstalled.
The completed four-passenger center club cabin now features Aeristo Aeronappa Gravity leather seating with custom interlocking geometric quilted inserts. The pattern gives the seats a tailored, high-end appearance while maintaining the comfort and efficient layout that have helped make the Citation Mustang such a popular owner-flown aircraft.
Sable Black high-gloss cabinetry introduces contrast throughout the cabin, while carbon fiber accents bring a more contemporary edge to the design. Custom Red Rock Sandstone carpeting adds warmth and texture, balancing the darker finishes and tying the entire interior together.
Refinished side panels, coordinated hardware, upgraded cup holders and carefully selected materials create a cabin that feels intentional from front to back. USB Type-A and Type-C outlets in both the cockpit and cabin add practical connectivity for pilots and passengers.
The result is not simply a cabin that looks new. It is a cohesive passenger environment in which every surface, texture, and transition feels connected.

The cockpit transformation is equally important.
N448SJ features the Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite with the NXi Phase II upgrade. The updated system incorporates modern processing, clearer displays and enhanced functionality designed to improve pilot awareness and usability.
Additional equipment and features include:
These upgrades ensure the aircraft's technology matches the quality and sophistication of its redesigned exterior and interior.

A successful aircraft transformation extends well beyond appearance.
N448SJ recently completed maintenance with Northstar Aviation and is tracked through CESCOM. Hot section inspections have also been completed on both Pratt & Whitney PW615F-A engines.
The aircraft has 2,005 total airframe hours and 1,724 total landings. It is enrolled on ProParts, while both engines are covered by PowerAdvantage Plus. These programs help provide greater predictability and confidence for the next owner.
By coordinating the refurbishment, avionics and maintenance portions of the project, SOLJETS was able to bring the aircraft to market as a more complete ownership proposition rather than a cosmetic refurbishment alone.
The Citation Mustang continues to be one of the most recognizable entry-level business jets because of its combination of efficiency, accessibility and performance.
N448SJ offers:
These capabilities make the Mustang well suited for regional business travel, personal transportation and owner-operated missions.
The completed SOLJETS Edition Citation Mustang demonstrates what can happen when aircraft acquisition, design, maintenance and market positioning are treated as one connected process.
Every stage built upon the one before it.
The aircraft was selected for its potential. Its history and records were carefully reviewed. Its exterior was redesigned. Its cabin was reconstructed around a consistent material palette. Its avionics were modernized, and its maintenance status was aligned with the expectations of today's market.
The finished aircraft is no longer defined by what it could become.
N448SJ has arrived.
