When Samuel isn’t working with clients, you’ll most likely find him golfing, skiing, or spending time with family. He thrives outdoors, enjoying activities that challenge him while giving him space to recharge.
If he could take a dream vacation, Samuel would head north to witness the Northern Lights. “It’s always been a dream of mine to experience that in person,” he says. Another adventure on his horizon? Skydiving—a bucket list item he’s eager to check off.
Samuel’s love for aviation started with a simple but powerful drive: the chance to always challenge himself and keep learning. “At first, I wanted to fly helicopters in the military,” he recalls. That curiosity and discipline carried over into his career in private aviation.
His first private jet experience was in a Citation Mustang, a moment he’ll never forget. “It completely changed how I thought about travel.” If given the chance to fly any aircraft, past or present, Samuel wouldn’t hesitate: the B-2 Stealth Bomber tops his list. “In my opinion, it’s the coolest aircraft ever made.”
What makes private aviation so meaningful to him? “You’re doing something that has a ripple effect for so many people—helping business owners make it home for dinner, creating opportunities, and giving them back one of the most valuable things: time.”
For Samuel, no two days are ever the same at SOLJETS. “Every day brings new challenges, I’m constantly learning, and the work is never boring.” He emphasizes that while aviation sales and acquisitions may look flashy from the outside, the reality is a lot of detailed, behind-the-scenes work that goes into making deals successful.
One of his most rewarding experiences was guiding a first-time aircraft buyer through the entire process—from initial research all the way to delivery. “Seeing the excitement and being part of that journey was incredibly rewarding,” he shares.
When it comes to defining success, Samuel keeps it simple: “If the client is happy, that’s success to me.”
For anyone looking to break into aviation, Samuel offers this guidance: “Be curious, work hard, and don’t be afraid to start small. Relationships and knowledge go a long way in this business.”
