Challenger 601 series, introduced in the late 1980s. This variant brought about improved avionics, enhanced performance, and increased reliability, cementing its status as a preferred choice for business and luxury travel. With the introduction of the General Electric CF34-3A engines, the Challenger 601-3A boasted a more efficient fuel burn and a slightly increased range of up to 3,500 nautical miles, making it adept at conducting longer domestic and international flights.

The Challenger 601-3A was among the first to incorporate the upgraded Collins Pro Line 4 avionics suite, offering pilots more sophisticated navigation and flight management systems. This upgrade significantly improved the aircraft's operational capabilities, making flights safer and more efficient.

The interior of the Challenger 601-3A continued the tradition of spaciousness and luxury, accommodating up to 12 passengers.
