Technical Services Manager
Join SOLJETS as a Technical Services Manager to manage aircraft evaluations, inspections, and technical due diligence throughout the transaction process.
Position Summary
The Technical Services Manager oversees the technical aspects of SOLJETS' aircraft transactions, including aircraft evaluations, pre-purchase inspections, technical due diligence, inventory aircraft, and maintenance coordination. This role works closely with the Sales team to ensure each aircraft meets SOLJETS' standards and client expectations from initial evaluation through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. AircraftEvaluations & Technical Due Diligence
- Perform on-site aircraft evaluations, visual inspections, and records reviews.
- Assess aircraft condition, maintenance history, and overall market readiness.
- Identify technical risks and provide recommendations to the Sales and Transaction teams.
- Support aircraft acquisitions and brokerage opportunities through technical due diligence.
2. Pre-PurchaseInspection Management
- Manage all aspects of the pre-purchase inspection process from scheduling through delivery.
- Serve as SOLJETS' on-site representative during inspections, maintenance events, and test flights.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, maintenance facilities, and inspection providers.
- Review inspection findings and assist in resolving technical discrepancies.
3. InventoryAircraft Management
- Oversee the maintenance status and readiness of inventory aircraft.
- Coordinate required maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Support aircraft demonstrations, deliveries, and acceptance flights.
4. Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance to the sales team throughout each transaction.
- Research maintenance programs, airworthiness directives, and OEM requirements.
- Build relationships with maintenance facilities, OEMs, and industry partners.
- Stay current on FAA regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
- 5+ years of aircraft maintenance or technical management experience.
- Strong knowledge of turbine aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and FAA regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and aviation maintenance software.
