Anthony “Tony” Kunde has seen the world of general aviation from a wide array of perspectives. With experience in global aircraft sales and exports, Tony has flown several of the aircraft he has assisted in selling to the new owners in Europe and Asia.
Raised in rural Wisconsin and a current Denver, Colorado resident, Tony was often taken to the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin as a child solely to look at the airplanes. At 16, he completed his first solo in a classic Piper Cherokee 140. From that point forward, Tony put all his focus and attention on attending the University of North Dakota (UND) to further build a career surrounding his passion for aviation. He eventually made it to UND and graduated with a business degree in Aviation Management; he also earned his Commercial, Multi-engine, Instrument, and CFI/CFII ratings from the Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.
Tony’s lifelong passion and love for aviation took him into a direct customer-facing role with Textron Aviation where he moved through several roles of increasing responsibility over ten years, learning international import/export aircraft regulations, international sales contract negotiations, and general aircraft sales.
Over the years, Tony has professionally managed and flown Cessna Citations and Caravans, Beech products, and Pilatus aircraft for several owners. Through these experiences, it became evident to Tony that his industry knowledge and professionalism was best suited helping individuals sell and/or acquire their aircraft, which is what drove the decision to team up with SOLJETS.
When Tony isn’t focused on his work, he’s carving the slopes in the winter, hiking the mountains in the summer, relaxing in the mountains any time of the year, planning the next insightful trip to some corner of the globe, spending time with family, or tweaking/inventing recipes in the kitchen… some great and some awful.
